Events

Events in Need for Speed (2015) can be found across Ventura Bay, with new events unlocking as the player increases their Reputation Level.

Unlocked events appear on the player's map, and as white start locations in free roam. Locked events do not appear on the player's map, but can be seen in free roam as orange start locations.

Players can start an event by driving onto the white arrows at the base of an event start location and pressing the prompted button. Additional players in the current multiplayer session can compete against each other in the same event by having all players park near an event start location, and allowing one player to initiate the button prompt.

There are 79 individual events made up of eight different event types. Completing events will reward the player with additional Cash () and Reputation ().

Events can also be completed as part of a mission given by a character.

Circuit Race

Circuit Races take place across multiple laps along a checkpoint route. There are 5 Circuit Race events.

Drag Race

Drag Races were introduced with the Hot Rods update, and take place along a route set out with checkpoints. There are 5 Drag Race events.

Drift Contest

Drift Contests take place along a timed point to point checkpoint route, and pits player against each other to set the highest score. There are 7 Drift Contest events.

Drift Train

Drift Trains take place along a timed point to point checkpoint route, and players must work together to beat the target score. There are 7 Drift Train events.

Drift Trial

Drift Trials take place along a point to point checkpoint route, and the player must beat the target score. There are 8 Drift Trial events.

Gymkhana

Gymkhanas take place along a timed point to point checkpoint route, and the player must beat the target score within the target time. There are 5 Gymkhana events.

Spontaneous Event

Spontaneous Events can be initiated when the player matches speed with a cruising AI driver or another player, and initiate the challenge once the challenge prompt appears on screen. Drivers can be challenged to one of three different event types.

Sprint Race

Sprint Races take place across a point to point checkpoint route. There are 22 Sprint Race events.

Time Attack

Time Attacks take place across multiple laps along a checkpoint route, and pit players against each other to set the fastest lap time. There are 2 Time Attack events.

Time Trial

Time Trials take place across a point to point checkpoint route, and require the player to beat a target time. There are 18 Trial events.

Touge

Touges take place along a point to point checkpoint route, and pits players against each other to set the highest score. There are 5 Touge events.
