The 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo (4BA-R35) is a high-performance sports car developed by Nismo (Nissan Motorsport) for the R35 GT-R series and is manufactured by Nissan.
First revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show on November 13, 2013 for the DBA-R35, it is the high-performance package offered for the GT-R series developed by Nismo - Nissan's in-house motorsport and tuning division - and was revised with the 2017 4BA-R35 refresh.
It is fitted with the same 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine found across the GT-R series except has a revised intake, improved ignition timing, larger turbochargers, and an altered exhaust system for increased horsepower and torque. The exterior has an aerodynamic package equipped for improved downforce, Nismo-branded RAYS forged wheels, and a modified suspension setup based on the 2013 Nürburgring race car for improved cornering.
As part of the 2017 revisions, released a decade after the first GT-R went on sale, it is also fitted with a reinforced bonnet and redesigned canards to produce even greater downforce. In order to reduce weight and improve stiffness, the front bumper, side sills, rear diffuser, and spoiler are made of carbon fibre.
The interior includes Recaro carbon fibre bucket seats, an 8" touch display, a redesigned dashboard and centre console, and a paddle shifter for the steering wheel.
Alongside the 2017 revisions, the suspension alterations made by Nismo - as well as the carbon fibre spoiler, RAYS wheels, and a cabron fibre spoiler - were made available as the GT-R Track Edition; an option between the Premium and the Nismo.
