Overdrive is a racer equipment option in the iOS releases of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010).
It functions similarly to Turbo. In addition to providing a temporary speed boost, it can be used to smash through police roadblocks without taking damage and can cause rival racers to lose control of their vehicle upon contact during usage.
