The 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (Gen. 2) is a coupé manufactured by Pontiac, and a specialty package for the second generation Firebird introduced in 1970.
The 1973 year model was offered in two new colors, Buccaneer Red and Brewster Green, with other exterior upgrades including a more modern nose bird.
In the same year, the Firebird Trans Am would be powered by a 455 cu in (7.5 L) Pontiac S.D. V8 engine.
