The 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (Gen. 4), also known as the Firebird T/A, is a modern pony car manufactured by Pontiac as the last generation of the Firebird series.
It is powered by a 5.7L V8 codenamed as 'LS1', which is also utilised by the Chevrolet Corvette C5 and the 2004 Pontiac GTO.

It can be selected with a close-ratio 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission provides quicker acceleration, with the automatic version offering a higher top speed.
It is as a class C vehicle in the PlayStation release alongside the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and can be purchased for $22,000 in the career mode.
