The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition is a coupé manufactured by Pontiac built between 1977 to 1978 for the second generation Firebird.
Also known as "Blackbird", it was available with custom gold interior and exterior trims for the coupe, and T-top models. It was priced higher than the simultaneously built Formula model.
It gained popularity for its appearance in the 1977 action-comedy film Smokey and the Bandit.[1]
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)
The Firebird Trans Am SE appears in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) as a muscle class car with the downloadable Movie Legends pack.
Purchasing the Movie Legends pack will immediately unlock the Firebird Trans Am SE within single player. It is unlocked in multiplayer upon the player completing 6 SpeedList events in the Dodge Charger R/T.
Need for Speed: Payback
The Firebird appears in Need for Speed: Payback as a downloadable add-on that was made available with the March Update released on March 20, 2018.
Stock
It is unlocked for purchase from the drag, drift, off-road, race, and runner class dealerships upon purchase and download from the online store.
