The 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 RS (964) is a light-weight model of the Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (964) and is the successor to the original Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
Like the original, Porsche made weight-cutting paramount by removing a sunroof, electric windows, electric mirrors, rear seats, and a lot of sound insulation.
In addition, the windows were made of thinner glass and seats were done by Recaro.

The 911 Carrera 2 RS appears in the PlayStation release of Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed as a class 2 Modern Era vehicle.
Compared to the normal 911 Carrera (964), it improves on all stats with the largest improvement in handling.
