The 2003 Porsche 911 GT2 (996) is the second generation model of the Porsche 911 GT2. The 996 GT2 was produced from 2001 to 2005 and was first revealed at the 2000 North American International Auto Show.
Like all other 996 generation 911 models, Porsche replaced the air-cooled flat-six engine from the 993 GT2 with a water-cooled version.
For model year 2003, Porsche equipped the GT2 with 18 inch 10 spoke alloy rims from the 996 GT3 and improved its performance capabilities. Unlike the 993 GT2, the 996 GT2 was no longer manufactured in limited quantities.
