The 2018 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS (Gran Turismo Sport) (991.2) is a high-performance variant of the 991.2 generation Targa developed and manufactured by Porsche.
As a mid-generation refresh of the 991 generation, which was revealed just over five years prior at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March 2010, the 991.2 Carrera was announced on September 7, 2015 ahead of its reveal at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, with the 991 Targa 4 GTS ending production in December 2015.
The facelifted 991.2 models were showcased with the a new 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine alongside new bumpers and lights.
The Targa GTS was announced on January 9, 2017, alongside the Carrera GTS, Carrera GTS Cabriolet, Carrera 4 GTS, and Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, and Targa 4 GTS Cabriolet, placing it as the high-performance options for each, but below performance models such as the Turbo, GT3, and GT2.
As part of the GTS trim, the exterior is fitted with "Sport Design" bumpers, wing mirrors, and exhaust equipped as well as a black Targa roll-over bar. Other components include a front splitter and higher spoiler for increased downforce, smoked rear lights, gloss black air intakes, and 20-inch centre-locking forged aluminium wheels 911 Turbo S wheels.
Alongside the visual package, the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is included as standard as an electric damper system and lowers the ride height by 10 mm (0.39 inches), with engine performance increased by 30 bhp (22 kW) and 37 ft·lb (50 N·m) over the Targa S, and the 7-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) automatic transmission improve acceleration.

The 911 Targa 4 GTS '18 appears in Need for Speed: Heat following an article published[2][3] on August 19, 2019, revealing it to be part of the game's official car list, and appears in the NFS: Heat Studio app as part of container 8, which was released on October 8, 2019.
