The Porsche 944 S2 is a front engine, rear wheel drive sports car by Porsche, replacing the original Porsche 944.

The cabriolet model of the S2 was released in 1990, with the 944 S2 being the last variant of the 944 model range. In 1992, Porsche released the 968 as a replacement for the 944.

The Porsche 944 S2 appears in Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed.

Its cabriolet variant appears as a Class 3 Modern Era car in the PC release. In the PlayStation release, both coupé and cabriolet variants are featured as Class 2 Golden Era cars.

It provides decent handling and has a moderate top speed within its class category.

Police

In the PlayStation release, the coupé variant also appears in the Germany courses as a non-playable police car during the Golden Era.
