Template:InfoboxCar2The Porsche Panamera Turbo is a four-door grand tourer manufactured by Porsche. It boasts a 4.8L twin-turbocharged V8, which delivers 493bhp at 6,000rpm. The Panamera is a direct adversary to other European luxury cars such as the Aston Martin Rapide and Maserati Quattroporte.
The name Panamera is deduced from the Carrera Panamericana racing series, where Porsche earned many class wins.
The Panamera Turbo received a facelift in 2013 along with other Panamera line-ups. Facelift of the more powerful Turbo S variant followed in 2014.
Need for Speed: World
Template:NFSWlink The Panamera Turbo was already found within the game directory of Need for Speed: World before making an official appearance in the game. These files were removed for unknown reasons after a patch was applied shortly after the title's initial release. The files were later readded after another patch was applied on March 20th, 2012.
It was added introduced to the title on March 28th, 2012 as a Tier 2 car available as Top-Up gift. On April 26h, 2012, the Panamera was added to the dealership for SpeedBoost purchase. It has been featured as a A Class car since August 22nd, 2012. An in-game cash purchaseable version rated as B Class car became available on September 5th, 2012. It was retired on May 2nd, 2013.
The A Class variant costs 
4,000 and is upgraded with Amerikon Speedsystems Street Tuned parts, which give it a 657 overall rating. The B Class variant costs 
1,400,000 and has a 586 overall rating.
The Panamera Turbo has a simplistic and reliable handling capability despite its body style. When using nitrous, the car gains a moderate speed boost. The Panamera has powerful acceleration, although the A Class variant does appear to lack in this field compared to similarly ranging cars. The B Class variant is capable of reaching 161 mph (259 km/h) as top speed . The A Class version can hit a top speed of 189 mph (304 km/h).
Players can use the Panamera Turbo in multiplayer matches successfully because of its handling. Its acceleration is competitive within B Class but might lack in higher classes. Still, it is a valuable choice for pursuits events, as the Panamera has decent durability.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)
The Panamera Turbo first appeared in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) and its Wii release.
It was only made available for the Seacrest County Police Department in the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC releases. The racer variant was only made available as part of an offer from Dr Pepper for the Xbox 360.
In the Wii release, the racer variant is unlocked upon the player beating the Khalifa Apex Tour's Time Attack race in Dubai. The cop variant becomes available upon the player beating the Koppen CFA Tour's Time Attack in Chongqing.
Trivia
- In Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), the car is equipped with 20 inch Panamera Turbo II wheels, whilst in Need for Speed: World, it is featured with 19 inch Panamera Turbo wheels.
- The Panamera Turbo in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit can be selected in Aqua Blue Metallic, Black, Carrara White, GT Silver Metallic, Mahogany Metallic, Meteor Grey Metallic or Ruby Red Metallic.
