Previous Conviction is a Hot Pursuit event featured in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and it is a racer career event.

In Hot Pursuit (2010), the event is only available with the Porsche Unleashed Pack. In Hot Pursuit Remastered, the event is unlocked by beating Stampede. It can be accessed from the Eagle Crest racer node on the career map, and is a Sports Series event.

Route[]

The event starts heading down South Face Drive. The racers continue down the entirety of this road, after which they continue forward at the following junction, down Bear Hollow. At the next junction, the race continues down Carson Ridge Reservoir. The racers continue through the tunnels, over the dam, and towards the end of the road, where the finish line is located.

Briefing[]

"'Age before Beauty' – the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo has both and is easily the equal of the modern Sports car. The Cops and other Racers had better watch out, this classic German Sports car is fitted with a full range of equipment and has something to prove."

The player is given four EMPs, three Jammers, four Spike Strips, and two Turbos.

The player's choice of racer vehicle for this event is limited to the Sports Series Porsche 911 Turbo.

Racer Suspects[]

There are four racer suspects participating in the event alongside the player.

SCPD Units[]

Two SCPD Ford Crown Victoria Traffic Police units will be engaged in pursuit from the start. A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X police unit will enter pursuit from slightly before the railway bridge on Bear Hollow (4.3 miles remaining). Additional units will engage in pursuit if the previous units are taken out or evaded. These units will use EMPs, Helicopter Support, Roadblocks, and Spike Strips.
