Redrock Ridge is a course in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes.
Course[]
The course is set within the North American desert with varied elevation changes and twisting roads. Notable landmarks such as a motel, a gas station and an observatory can be spotted nearby the beginning of the track.
A variation set at dusk, Lost Canyons, also appears in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes.
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit[]
It is available from the beginning in both the PC and PlayStation releases.
The police vehicles patrolling the course in Hot Pursuit mode are either the Chevrolet Caprice or the Land Rover Discovery in the PlayStation release, or the Eagle Talon in the PC release.
The musical pieces "Snorkeling Cactus Weasels" by Matt Ragan and "Cetus 808" by Rom Di Prisco are played when participating in an event along the course.
Need for Speed: High Stakes[]
It is set in the United States and is unlocked by competing in the Memory Lane Tour, Circuit #1.
The police vehicles patrolling the course in are the Eagle Talon and the Lamborghini Diablo SV.
Trivia[]
- Rusty Springs Raceway, a course featured in The Need for Speed is referenced in a billboard that appears in the course.
- The course is featured in the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes without alterations compared to the PC release of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
- In Need for Speed: Heat, there is an Easter egg reference to Redrock Ridge with a road sign stating "Redrock Bridge 2791 miles", which can be found in Cloudbank, Palm City.
