Template:InfoboxCar2The Renault Mégane RS 250 (Renaultsport) is a hothatch built since 2009 by Renault. Powertrain of the Mégane RS is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four motor.

Shift Series

The Mégane RS appears in Need for Speed: Shift with a 2,40 car rating and price tag of $23,000. It is classed as a tier 1 car and is capable of a Works conversion.

The Shift 2: Unleashed rendition is featured as a Modern Road car with a price tag of $18,500. Its performance is measured by D 220, whilst its handling is rated at 2,70.

Although it has a slightly worse car rating than the Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk5) and SEAT León Cupra, the RS accelerates quicker than both. Other performance traits of the Mégane RS such as handling and top speed are average compared to other tier 1/class D cars.

Need for Speed: World

Template:NFSWlink On October 19th, 2011 the Renault Mégane RS was brought to the car dealership as a tier 2 vehicle for 3,000 SB with Amerikon Speedsystems street tuned parts as standard performance upgrades. The "Cop Hatch" version was added into the game on November 29th, 2011 for 3,400 SB.

Acceleration is above average and strong enough for competing with the best tier 2 cars. The Mégane's best trait is its exceptionally handling, which is controllable at high speeds and useful in tight corners. It has one of the highest top speed (188 mph/302 kmh) out of all tier 2 too.

The Cop Hatch has functional police lights and is customised with a series of aftermarket parts including a unique license plate. Instead of street parts, the Cop is upgraded with Gromlen race tuned parts.

Need for Speed: The Run

The Renault Mégane RS appears in Need for Speed: The Run as a tier 2 car. It is unlocked by default and can be driven in the challenge series. The RS has the slowest 0 to 60 mph time out of all tier 2 cars. Its top speed in The Run is 160 mph (257 kmh). Due to having an "Easy" handling rating, the RS is best suited for difficult race tracks.

The NFS Edition is a tier 4 variant of the car, which is rewarded to the player upon obtaining a gold medal in all Plains Interstate challenges. Its power output of 431 bhp at 5,600 rpm allows the player to hit 195mph (314kmh) as top speed and go from 0 to 60 in 4,4 seconds. The NFS Edition is overall a decent car, considering its "Easy" handling rating.

The Mégane RS also appears as a tier 5 vehicle known as Yeti Signature Edition, which has the same handling rating as the tier 2 and tier 4 variants. With a acceleration time of 4,2 seconds and power output of 584 bhp at 5,700rpm, it may be only somewhat quicker than the tier 4 variant. Since the Yeti is focussed on handling it can overtake stronger vehicles in corners. Its top speed is 218mph (351kmh). The Yeti is rewarded to the player after they reached driver level 10.
