Rocky Pass is a course in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes.
Course[]
The course is set on a mountain pass in Canada with an alpine forest setting, with varying elevation changes, jumps, a few tunnels, a bridge and many tight turns, including a set of switchbacks. A small village can be found near the bottom of the track.
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit[]
It is available from the beginning in both the PC and PlayStation releases.
The police vehicles patrolling the course in Hot Pursuit mode are either the Ford Crown Victoria or the Lamborghini LM002 in the PlayStation release, or the Land Rover Discovery in the PC release.
The musical pieces "Snow Bags" by Matt Ragan and "Knossos" by Saki Kaskas are played when participating in an event along the course.
Need for Speed: High Stakes[]
It is unlocked by competing in the Memory Lane Tour, Circuit #2.
The police vehicles patrolling the course are the Land Rover Discovery and the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Trivia[]
- The course can be played in the PC demo release of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
- The sound of a train's horn can be heard at certain parts of the course but there are no visible railway tracks on the course.
- The course is featured in the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes without alterations compared to the PC release of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
