"TJ's Time Trial" is event #7 of Underground Mode in Need for Speed: Underground.
It is the first Time Trial event of Underground Mode and is offered following the player winning event #6: "Rookie Tournament".
Winning the event allows the player to proceed to event #8 of Underground Mode: "Atlantica Challenge". Optionally, the player can also choose to decline this event and proceed to the next event instead.
Synopsis[]
The player is introduced to TJ, a mechanic with the resources to give racers a competitive edge against their rivals but has a ruthless attitude towards those he feels are not worthy.
Having just won their first tournament, TJ offers the player a chance to earn one of his unique engine performance parts, but first they have to prove they're worthy to him by beating his time trial.
