The 2017 Volkswagen Scirocco R (A5) is the high-performance variant of the third generation Scirocco manufactured by Volkswagen.
In 2014, it received a facelift and the power output was increased from the 261 bhp produced by the initial R, which had been in production since 2009. Although the other trims offered from 2014 onwards were fitted with new engines from the seventh generation Golf, the R retained the EA113 engine, of which was derived from the fifth generation Golf GTI.
As part of the facelift, it is fitted with new bumpers, new headlights, LED rear lights, and wheels from the seventh generation Golf R. Although the facelift changed the exterior look, it is fitted the same "XDS" limited slip differential as the original model but sits 10mm lower with sportier springs.

Need for Speed: No Limits[]
The Scirocco R appears in Need for Speed: No Limits as part of the 5.0.2 update released on January 20, 2021. It is a reward for completing the "Breakout: Volkswagen Scirocco R" event, which ran from February 23, 2021 to March 1, 2021.

The stock Scirocco R is a street class car that requires 40 common blueprints to unlock. The blueprints required to unlock the vehicle can be earned by completing the Breakout: Volkswagen Scirocco R event.
